Tucked away in the inconspicuous SoHo Beach House is one of my favorite spots on the beach: Cecconi’s
I first learned about this hidden Italian gem a few years ago when a buddy of mine used to live close by. We used to try and make it over for their Dirty Burger as often as possible. Not only is it what we have voted as our absolutely favorite burger on the beach but it’s an insane deal between the hours of 4-7 on Tuesdays - Saturdays! You see, the secret is the secret manu available only at the bar and only between the hours of 4-7. It’s like the speakeasy inside of the hidden restaurant inside of the inconspicuous beach club. All dishes and cocktails are between $4-$9. If you’re lucky enough, maybe one day you can become a Friend Of Cecconi’s which entitles you to special private events as well as daily discounts and a whopping 50% on Monday’s! The 4-7 menu is pretty great anyway so don't be upset if you don't make the cut.
Their meticulously hand crafted cocktails by their genuine and engaging bar staff will most definitely bring you back. My personal favorite, El Picante De La Casa. It's the Fresno Chilies that give it that kick of fire. Their Cantaloupe Spritz is also a winner in my book. It's refreshing and you can have a few without any major regrets.

All their pizzas are great but the truffle, goat cheese, zucchini blossom is my favorite and their meatballs are to die for. However, if you only have one thing have the Veal Chop Milanese, you won't be sorry. They even have great options for my Vegan buddies. I've tried the macrobiotic bowl with cauliflower and black beans; just added chicken and I was good to go. Their key lime pie with coconut sorbet will pleasantly surprise you. I also love, love, love the profiteroles but the chocolate, caramel, hazelnut delizia is a bit rich for me. I was thankful for the gianduja ice cream on the side.
What else can I say about Cecconi's? I'm happy we're friends!
